Pivotal & Google – Securing Kubernetes & Building Distributed Apps at Scale

By: | July 3, 2018

Hello Colorado Cloud Foundry Users! It has been awhile since we last hosted a Meetup, but we’re excited to get this event rolling again. We’re planning to host a session on Wednesday July 18th.

I’m pleased to announce our first speaker, Ameer Abbas, who is a Customer Engineer from Google. Ameer will be presenting on “Building distributed applications at scale in heterogeneous environments”. This talk will focus on Kubernetes + Spinnaker + Istio at a high-level and how a combination of the three is best suited for hybrid/multicloud environments.

The second session will be lead by Jason Morgan, a Platform Architect from the local Pivotal team. His talk, “Secure your web traffic on kubernetes with Let’s Encrypt and Cert-Manager” will walk through the process of installing and configuring cert-manager on kubernetes. He will also cover setting up an ingress and a web service to use the https certificate.

Agenda
5:30 – 6:00 :: Food and Networking
6:00 – 6:45 :: Building distributed applications at scale
6:45 – 7:30 :: Secure your web traffic on Kubernetes

Please reach out with any questions, and we look forward to seeing you all next week!
