Cloud Foundry as a PaaS, CaaS and FaaS

By: | October 22, 2018

Evolution in architectural patterns has led to Microservices based architectures, which in turn has helped enterprises decompose their app into independently deployable services. Platforms on the other hand, have also evolved to support different abstractions and usage patterns with Platform as a Service (PaaS), Container as a Service (CaaS) and Function as a Service (FaaS)/Serverless .

In this talk, you will see how Cloud Foundry – the Open Source Multi Cloud Platform helps enterprise run all these abstractions with one underlying software.

We will look at an application which has parts of it’s services running on PaaS, CaaS and FaaS and how it all fits together on Cloud Foundry.

We will also be having a look at an Open Source Function as a Service called – riff (https://projectriff.io/) which is based on Knative (https://github.com/knative/) for running Serverless workloads.

Registration will open from 5.30pm with food and refreshments available, with the evening concluding around 7:45pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!
