Dear {Boss Name},

I’d like to attend Cloud Foundry Summit Europe 2017 taking place October 11-12 in Basel, Switzerland. It is the premier technical event for enterprise developers, architects, engineers and executives who are using Cloud Foundry – the industry’s leading cloud application platform.

Over 1,000 of the most talented individuals in our industry are expected to attend—it’s like a pop-up think tank! Cloud Foundry Summit is the only place to meet the global Cloud Foundry developer community and discuss the roadmap for the fastest-growing cloud native platform. I will learn how to run applications in a multi-cloud environment, take containers to production, and help create a culture of innovation at our company.

Cloud Foundry Summit Silicon Valley offers content across 75+ breakout sessions, keynotes and lightning talks. There are currently five tracks to choose from:

  • Cloud Foundry in the Enterprise
  • Experiments & Extensions
  • Core Project Updates
  • Cloud-Native Microservices
  • Cloud Foundry at Scale

I plan to attend several sessions providing education in areas of <fill in topic areas> that could be put to use immediately with <projects you are working on>.

You can learn more about the event by clicking here.

The standard registration price of499 ends September 8 and the price increases to 680. Included in the registration fee is attendance to all Cloud Foundry Summit tracks and keynote sessions, access to the Cloud Foundry Summit sponsor showcase, meals and breaks, and the Wednesday evening attendee reception.

I am seeking approval for the registration fee, travel expenses to the conference and minimal food expenses during the conference. The detailed cost breakdown is listed below. Here is the breakdown of conference costs:

  •   Airfare: $
  •   Transportation: $
  •   Hotel: $
  •   Meals: $

I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned, and recommend any changes we can implement for improving our practices.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns; otherwise, I hope we can make this opportunity work.

Thanks,
