Mark Your EU Summit Calendar: Why You Should Attend Hands-on Labs

If you are attending Cloud Foundry EU Summit in Basel, I hope you consider dropping by one or more of the Hands-on Labs. The goal of these sessions is to provide you with a hands-on experience in a half hour or less. We conducted these sessions for the first time at Cloud Foundry Summit in Boston and they were a great success.

If you have never pushed an app or used UAA, these sessions may be for you. The full schedule of sessions is available here.

Cloud Foundry Summits have proven to be a great time to learn about the latest advancements in a large and complex ecosystem. Breakout sessions tend to go deep. While these sessions are great for those with enough experience, they can be alienating for those less familiar with a particular technology. The Hands-on Sessions aim to change that.

Providing a new experience in 25-30 minutes is no easy feat. The team is working hard to ensure experiences are impactful and as realistic as possible in a limited amount of time. In order to achieve this, we need your help:

  • If you are attending a session, please arrive on time (if not early). There is very little time between the sessions and each is jam-packed.
  • We also kindly ask that you depart quickly after the session ends to make room for the next group.
  • There will be 10 chromebooks available on a first-come, first-served basis. The chromebooks are preconfigured with everything needed to complete the labs. If you aren’t one of the first 10 people, you can pair up, simply observe or — potentially — use your own device.

Join us for one (or all 12!) Hands-On Labs on Wednesday, October 10, and Thursday, October 11. See you at Cloud Foundry Summit in Basel! (Don’t forget to register!)
