Cloud Foundry North American Summit Coming to Philadelphia in April 2019

Foundation brings the latest advances in enterprise cloud computing to the Pennsylvania Convention Center April 2-4

SAN FRANCISCO August 22, 2018 Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of a family of open source projects including Cloud Foundry Application Runtime, Cloud Foundry Container Runtime and Cloud Foundry BOSH, today announced the highly anticipated North American Cloud Foundry Summit will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on April 2-4, 2019.

The 2019 Summit comes to the east coast for the second year running after a hugely successful event in Boston in 2018. Cloud Foundry has seen growth worldwide with 3,000 contributors since inception; more than 55,000 commits in the last 12 months alone; 71,750 people participating in global community events; and 64 total members. According to internal research, Cloud Foundry has 35 percent of the total market across all deployments, making it the industry leader in the growing cloud application platform market. According to Gartner, Cloud Foundry’s total market value is approximately $3.1 billion, rising to $5.25 billion in a few years.

The Foundation also anticipates 1,000 attendees next month at the 2018 European Summit in Basel, Switzerland, from October 10-11 at the Congress Center Basel.

“Cloud Foundry Summit North America is the axis of our community and the center of the cloud-native universe for businesses building the future,” said Abby Kearns, Executive Director, Cloud Foundry Foundation. “It’s the place for current and prospective Cloud Foundry users to see the platform in production, for developers building and using the platform to discuss its growth, and for executives digitizing their businesses to connect with others on that journey.”

Cloud Foundry is an open source technology backed by the largest technology companies in the world, including Dell EMC, Google, IBM, Microsoft, VMware, SAP and SUSE, and is being used by leaders in manufacturing, telecommunications and financial services. Only Cloud Foundry delivers the velocity needed to continuously deliver apps at the speed of business. Cloud Foundry’s container-based architecture runs apps in any language on your choice of cloud — Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, VMware vSphere, and more. With a robust services ecosystem and simple integration with existing technologies, Cloud Foundry is the modern standard for mission-critical apps for global organizations.

Sponsorships for the North American Summit are now available. Registration and Call for Papers will open in October.
