CVE-2021-22099: Server Side Request Forgery in Cloud Controller

Description

Cloud Foundry Cloud Controller component is vulnerable to a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. A malicious user can use this vulnerability to send HTTP GET requests to any internal component in the CF environment, and also to read the responses.

Affected Cloud Foundry Products and Versions

Severity is medium unless otherwise noted.

  • CAPI
    • All versions prior to 1.114.0
  • CF Deployment
    • All versions prior to 16.23.0

Mitigation

Users of affected products are strongly encouraged to follow the mitigations below. The Cloud Foundry project recommends upgrading the following releases:

  • CAPI
    • Upgrade all versions to 1.114.0 or greater
  • CF Deployment
    • Upgrade all versions to 16.23.0 or greater
