evoila Joins Cloud Foundry Foundation

evoila, a German cloud consulting organization, today announced it has joined the Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard multi-cloud platform, as a silver member. evoila joins EMC, HPE, IBM, Intel VMware, SAP, VMware and more than 50 other technology innovators as a Foundation member. Through its membership, evoila will leverage Cloud Foundry to support enterprise customers in making the transformation to a digital enterprise with a fully functional cloud infrastructure for continuous innovation.

“We are excited to be joining the Cloud Foundry Foundation. Cloud Foundry is a key element of our strategy supporting enterprises to develop and rapidly deploy cloud native applications, and leveraging open source technologies to transform their IT and application infrastructure,” said Alexander Rembecki, head of Business Development and Alliances of evoila. “Based on the rapid adoption of Cloud Foundry by enterprise customers, and the agile community around it, it was a key decision for evoila to strengthen our services portfolio with Cloud Foundry.”

evoila has committed to an active involvement in the Cloud Foundry community to leverage the Cloud Foundry platform to enable customers to develop and deploy cloud native applications. The main contributions are:

Cloud Foundry Management Console: a microservice architecture application based on the technologies Spring Boot and AngularJS. The application consumes the Cloud Controller API of Cloud Foundry and enables the mapping of the entire lifecycle for Organisations, Spaces and Applications for the Open Source community of Cloud Foundry.

Cloud Foundry Service Broker: To expand the customers Cloud Foundry installation with service brokers (databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB. Elasticsearch, MariaDB and Redis or Queueing: RabbitMQ and others), evoila provides a large catalog of existing implementations based on OpenStack and Docker. Based on a generic implementation of the existing Service Broker, evoila is also able to develop customised solutions for a specific task or scenario for standalone deployments or variable cluster sizes.

“We welcome evoila as a new Foundation member,” said Cloud Foundry CEO Sam Ramji. “Cloud Foundry will help evoila deliver a multi-cloud platform to their enterprise customers as they embrace continuous delivery. We believe evoila will provide valuable best practices to the global Cloud Foundry community.”
