Description

It was discovered that FFmpeg contained multiple security issues when handling certain multimedia files. If a user were tricked into opening a crafted multimedia file, an attacker could cause a denial of service via application crash.

CVEs contained in this USN include: CVE-2018-15822, CVE-2019-11338, CVE-2019-11339, CVE-2019-9718, CVE-2019-9721

Severity is medium unless otherwise noted.

  • All versions of Cloud Foundry cflinuxfs3 prior to 0.86.0

Mitigation

Users of affected products are strongly encouraged to follow one of the mitigations below:

  • The Cloud Foundry project recommends that Cloud Foundry deployments run with cflinuxfs3 version 0.86.0 or later.
