Description

Yebo Cao discovered that Python incorrectly handled certain URLs. An attacker could use this issue to bypass blockinglisting methods. This issue was first addressed in USN-5960-1, but was incomplete. Here we address an additional fix to that issue. (CVE-2023-24329) Update Instructions: Run `sudo pro fix USN-6139-1` to fix the vulnerability. Mitigation

Users of affected products are strongly encouraged to follow the mitigations below.

The Cloud Foundry project recommends upgrading the following releases:

  • Bionic Stemcells
    • There are no fixed versions of this product
    • All other stemcells should be upgraded to the latest version available on bosh.io.
  • cflinuxfs4
    • Upgrade all versions to 1.17.0 or greater
  • Jammy Stemcells
    • Upgrade 1.x versions to 1.147 or greater
    • All other stemcells should be upgraded to the latest version available on bosh.io.
  • CF Deployment
    • Upgrade all versions to 30.0.0 or greater and upgrade Jammy Stemcells to 1.147 or greater
