Statement on Code of Conduct Violation

Today on the first day of the 2017 Cloud Foundry Summit, a member of our community made a statement to other members which violated our Code of Conduct.

The Foundation made the decision to ask that community member to leave. It is important to us as the steward for this community that all members live up to our stated standards.

Our Cloud Foundry community Code of Conduct reads, in part: “Act Professionally: Be courteous, respectful and polite to fellow community members: no racial, gender, or other abuse will be tolerated.”

Our Cloud Foundry Foundation Event Code of Conduct states, in part: “…the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference, with no refund.”

We are never happy to make decisions like this, but believe it is important to do what’s right for our community. Please remember to be respectful of those around you, and thank you for reading.
